3-star transfer Edge Rusher Owen Wafle commits to Penn State Football

Three-star transfer edge rusher Owen Wafle announced Saturday that he has committed to Penn State football out of Michigan. Wafle becomes the fifth transfer commitment to join the Nittany Lions.

Waffle, a native of Princeton, New Jersey, is rated as the No. 75 edge rusher and No. 784 overall in the transfer portal. 247Sports. He had four years of eligibility left after registering no pictures in his actual freshman year with the Wolverines.

Wafle was rated a four-star recruit coming out of high school per the 247Sports Composite. He was the No. 50 defensive lineman and No. 9 overall player from his hometown.

Waffle joined the wide receiver ranks. Devonte Ross and Kyron Hudsonedge rusher Enai Whiteand offensive linemen. TJ Shanahan Jr. Transfer to Nittany Lions. Penn State lost quarterback Beau Pribula, tight end Jerry Cross and defensive end TA Cunningham to the portal.
