The Justice Department wants federal prosecutors across the country to investigate state or local officials who are obstructing immigration enforcement under President Trump's new administration, according to a new memo obtained by Fox News.
“the Ministry of Justice “We must and will work to eliminate these threats,” Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Boff, Trump’s former defense lawyer, wrote in the memo. “Indeed, the Department of Justice has a responsibility to defend the Constitution and, by extension, lawfully implement the policies that the American people elected President Trump to implement.”
The memo continued, “The Justice Department's responsibility, which every employee proudly bears, includes vigorous enforcement of laws enacted by Congress, as well as vigorous defense of the President's actions on behalf of the United States against legal challenges. Department employees must come together in offices funded by taxpayers.” “To do this very important work.”
