Two founders built their launch of the availability of cinema, XL Cinema, in the season four finals Shark Tank India. Their company provides descriptive sound for movies and web series, which aims to access content for people with visual impairments.
The episode represented Sricant Boll as a guest shark. Jeet watched Adani from behind. The founders shared that their technology was used for the biopic Sricanth, which increases the credibility of their business. They searched for RS 1.5 crore for 1.5% of their own capital and appreciated their company at RS 100 Crore – a number that immediately increased the eyebrows between sharks, due to their income was only RS 65 lakh.
The founders explained their model and stated that they charge the production headquarters of the RS 4 lakh for the project and deliver within 30 hours, which is significantly faster than the industry standard of the week. This efficiency attributed to the effective workflow of driven AI. While Anupam Mittal appreciated this process, he felt that the award was unrealistic and retreated. Aman Gupta and Namita Thapon followed a suit, and Aman predicted that cheaper competitors would soon flood the market, and Namita doubts whether production houses would even pay RS 4 lakh for the project.
Sricant Bolla was the most difficult critic. He questioned their scalability and forced the founder to emphasize the government mandate, which requires that by March 2026 all the theater editions have descriptive sound.
“No one even implements a plastic ban,” Sikanth faced. “There is a big difference between the introduction of the rule and performing the rule.” The founders insisted that CBFC would promote compliance with the regulations, but Sricant has remained unconvincing and pointed out that the regulations could change with the governments.
“I don't even need a visual description – I can calculate your height based on where your voice comes from. But mine is an exceptional case. Let's forget about it for a moment, because I agree that you are dealing with a big problem … New sellers might emerge. There is no chance of growth,” he said.
Despite the lukewarm reception, the playground turned when Jed Adani came after the show. He offered CRS 1 CRORE in two trance, which gave the founders much needed support after hard grilling in the tank.
