I tried Volvo's EVs in Frozen Sweden

Despite many misconceptions, driving an electrical vehicle in winter conditions can be easy and as fun as driving a gas-powered gas. To prove this, I went to Frozen north of Sweden where I spent days driving Volvo's EVs in frozen lakes and down snow -covered roads.

The fact is that all cars, no matter what power of them, is more struggling with cold conditions. While EV batteries may be less efficient at lower temperatures, modern Ev tech will go a long way to make it.

Most modern EVs allow you to heat your car and its batteries while it is still plugging (a process called “Preconditioning”), which saves all your available scope for your journey. That is in addition to better heat pumps and modern tech such as regenerative braking (found in most EVs these days), which can restore energy to batteries when you slow down.

Then there is the fact that the average set of EVs has been more than three times in the last 10 years, while the number of points available to the public has also increased. As a result, long -term electric driving in any conditions is easier now than ever before.
