President-elect Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that he is the former spokesperson for the State Department Morgan Ortagus He will serve as Deputy Special Presidential Envoy for Middle East Peace.
In a post on Friday afternoon, Trump announced that Ortagus would act on it Steven Witkoffa New York real estate mogul, was chosen to serve as Middle East envoy in November.
“Morgan has fought me for three years, but I hope she's learned her lesson.” Trump wrote in the post. “These things don't usually work, but they have strong Republican support, and I'm not doing this for me, I'm doing this for them. Let's see what happens.”

Ortagus is active US Navy A reserve intelligence officer, she served as State Department spokeswoman from 2019 to 2021, where she was a member of Trump's Abraham Accords team.
She previously worked at the Treasury Department as a financial intelligence analyst and served as the US Treasury's Deputy Attaché to Saudi Arabia from 2010 to 2011.
