A 2-month-old, 1-year-old child was found in a drunken state


A Houston mother was reportedly found drunk on the sidewalk with her 2-month-old baby and 1-year-old child during the recent winter storm.

Tuesday, Jan. 21, by Sheriff Ed Gonzalez of the Harris County Sheriff's Office Xformerly known as Twitter, to share news updates with citizens. Gonzalez explained that an early morning “911 call” to his office reported “an older woman and two babies … lying on the sidewalk.”

“Deputies responded and identified the infants as 2 months old and 1 year old.” Sheriff Gonzalez claimed in his speech the original tweet.

Additionally, in a follow-up tweet, the Sheriff said the mother “showed signs of intoxication.”

According to Sheriff Gonzalez, EMS officials responded to the sign and treated the infants for “cold injuries.”

Per USA Todaywhen the authorities arrived, they reportedly found “open alcohol” with the mother. The Harris County Prosecutor's Office and the Sheriff's Office were then reportedly contacted.

In addition, it is reported that the district prosecutor's office “accepted charges of child endangerment against the mother.”

Finally, the release notes that the winter storm was a “once-in-a-generation” weather event that dumped at least two inches of snow on the area.

as Shadow room previously reported, a mother in New Mexico is also making headlines. Elizabeth Ortiz-Chavez has reportedly been charged with second-degree murder after she allowed her teenage son to serve time for the murder of her daughter's boyfriend.

The incident reportedly took place in 2022 and there are allegations of domestic violence.
