State Governor Jeff Landre said on Monday that a man accused of attacking a student at Louisiana College with a hammer is the reason that President Donald Trump transferred some illegal immigrants to the Gulf of Guantanamo, Cuba.
Juan Monroe, 32, is accused of second -degree murder after a Nichols State University student attacked Friday near St. Thomas Akwinas Catholic Church in Thibodox, 60 miles west of New Orleans.
The authorities said that the attack was not justified and it appears to be random.

The school said that Monroe was quickly arrested because of the university police and church employees. Officials said he was working on an unacceptable work site next to the campus at the time of the accident.
The unknown student was treated in a medical facility and issued.
“At this time, our focus is on the luxury of our demand in this incident. We would like to thank the quick procedure for the Nichols State University police and all the local agencies that helped in this investigation,” said President of Nichols Jay. Colon.

Monroy was booked at the Lafourche Parish Correctional complex, where it is held on bail of $ 500,000.
In addition, the American Immigration and Customs Office (ICE) also commented on its launch, and also informed the Sharif Fox News Design office.
“This is another meaningless act of violence committed by a person who should not be in our country,” Landri said in response to the arrest. “Such is the reason that the federal government opens the Gulf of Guantanamo. We are standing with our victims.”
