Apple and Metallica have Teamed up to bring a free, exciting experience from one of the band's concerts to Apple Vision Pro. Beginning March 14, those with the headset can watch a live presentation of “Whiplash,” “One” and, of course, “Enter Sandman” filmed at a stop at last year's Metallica's M72 World Tour. An EP recorded in the show, titled M72 World Tour: Mexico Citywill hit Apple Music this Friday and be available in spatial audio.
To get the set to the 180-degree video and spatial audio, Apple built a custom setup stage with 14-imersive apple video cameras. Some cameras are suspended on cables and in remote controlled dolly systems.
The exciting set is probably a fun experience for those in the Venn Diagram overlap of Metallica satisfaction and those who splash $ 3,500 with an Apple Vision Pro (you will be able to check it by booking a free demo at an Apple store). But would it be as cool as the time when lightning struck the sky as Metallica played the “Master of Puppets” on an external show last year? Probably not.
