On Tuesday, Baldoni released footage from the set of the movie with Lively that showed the interaction between the actors, which her legal team claims is against Lively's Dec. 20 sexual assault allegations against her co-star and director.

But in a lengthy statement, Lively's lawyers welcomed the release of the video, insisting it proved the claims made in the actress' lawsuit.

They said TMZ: “Justin Baldoni and his attorney may hope that this latest stunt will preempt damaging evidence against him, but the video itself is damning. Every frame of the released footage confirms everything Ms. Livey describes in paragraph 48 of her complaint.”

“The video shows Mr. Baldoni repeatedly leaning toward Ms. Lively and trying to kiss her, kissing her on the forehead, rubbing his face and mouth against her neck, rubbing her lip with his thumb, caressing her, telling her how good she smells. and speaks to her out of character,” the attorneys continued. In their testimony, they further claimed that the scene was “fixed” by Baldoni and that his actions made Lively feel uncomfortable because there was no prior discussion.

They also noted that while Lively and Baldoni co-starred, the actor also acted as the director and his “employer,” suggesting a power imbalance.

Lively's lawyers said: “Every moment of it was improvised by Mr. Baldoni, without any prior discussion or consent, and without the involvement of any intimacy coordinator. Mr. Baldoni was not only Ms. Lively's co-star, but also the director, the head of the studio. and Mrs. Livey's boss.”

According to the lawyers, the actress who walked away from Baldoni on the stage was not acting because she felt “discomfort”.
