“Adrien and Felicity's performances are completely their own,” Corbett, 36, said. statement to Diversity Monday, January 20. “They worked with a dialect coach for months Tanera Marshall to perfect their accents. The innovative Respeecher technology was used exclusively in Hungarian dialogue editing, specifically to refine certain vowels and letters for accuracy. No English has been changed.”
The filmmaker added, “It was a manual process done by our sound team and Respeecher in post-production. The intention was to preserve the authenticity of Adrien and Felicity's performances in another language, not replace or replace them, and it was done with the utmost respect for the art.
Cruel Brody, 51, plays Laszlo Tóth, a Hungarian-Jewish architect and Holocaust survivor who immigrated to America after World War II. Jones, 41, plays Toth's wife.

“We coached [them] and they did an incredible job, but we also wanted to perfect it so that even the locals wouldn't notice any difference,” explained the Hungarian editor, who recorded his voice into the AI program as the two presenters.
“Most of their Hungarian dialogue has a part where I speak” Jancso admitted. “We were very careful to save their performances. It's basically replacing letters here and there.”
Jancsó says RedShark News that generative artificial intelligence is included at the end of the film, which shows architectural drawings from Brody's character. However, Corbet explained in a statement on Monday: “[Production designer] Judy Becker and his team did not use artificial intelligence to create or render any of the buildings. All pictures are hand-drawn by artists.”

At the Golden Globe Awards earlier this month, Cruel won three major trophies: Best Film – Drama, Best Director for Corbett, and Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture — Drama for Brody. (The award came 23 years after he won an Academy Award Pianist 29 years old.)
