On Tuesday, January 21 TMZ Brown has released an exclusive report claiming that Investigative Discovery is suing entities for “publicizing and publishing defamatory claims against him” with the documentary Chris Brown: A History of Violence.
In addition, Brown claims that evidence that the allegations are false makes defamatory statements “even after they have been alleged.” Per TMZBrown claimed that the alleged victim at the center of the documentaries, referred to as Jane Doe, had been “repeatedly discredited”. It is reported that the singer stated that Doe's previous claim against him was groundless.
In addition, he said that the documentaries portrayed him as a “serial rapist and sexual abuser”. However, he has never been convicted of “any sex offence”.
Finally, Brown reportedly accused the institutions of “pushing an old story in the name of fame and fortune.” He is seeking $500 million in damages because the documentaries affected his “reputation, career and business opportunities.” Page 6 notes that the documentaries were released in October 2024.
