The College Football Playoff brackets are out. Official 12-team College Football Playoff field and final top 25 rankings It was announced on December 8th.. The quarterfinals will continue on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
Oregon State is the No. 1 seed, while Georgia, Boise State and Arizona also received byes. Below is the bracket, final seeding, and full playoff schedule.

This bracket is Committee final top 25 rankings Sunday, December 8. It's important to keep in mind that top 25 rankings don't always correspond to playoff seeds. Because even if the top four teams are ranked in the top 25, the top four conference champions receive a top four seed and a bye. The highest-ranked conference champion also automatically participates, but that team does not bye.

Boise State, which won the Mountain West Conference Championship and lost only to No. 1 Oregon, failed to advance to the quarterfinals despite finishing 3rd and 9th as the conference champion. At 12, the Sun Devils are the fourth-highest ranked conference champion behind ACC champion Clemson (No. 16) and earned the No. 4 seed and final first-round bye.

The four quarterfinals will not be played on campus. Instead, these four games scheduled for December 31 and January 1 will be played in the Fiesta Bowl, Rose Bowl, Peach Bowl, and Sugar Bowl. The four highest-ranking conference champions will be allocated one of these bowls, taking into account historical bowl relationships and seeding.
The four quarterfinal winners will meet in the semifinals at either the Orange Bowl or Cotton Bowl on Jan. 9 and Jan. 10. If the seed holds, this means that (1) meets (4) and (2) meets (3). The two semifinal winners will play for the national championship Jan. 20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
