
The United States launched a “strong” wave of air strikes on the Houthi rebels in Yemen, and President Donald Trump said, citing the armed group attacks on shipping in the Red Sea.
Trump wrote on the truth platform, adding that this cost “billions of dollars”: “With funding from Iran, the Houthi thugs fired rockets on the American plane, targeting our forces and allies,” adding that this had cost “billions of dollars.”
The Houthi -running Ministry of Health said that at least nine were killed and nine were injured in the strikes.
The group – which began targeting shipment in response to Israel's invasion of Gaza – told the Arab media that it would continue its attacks.
