Frankfurt (Reuters) – Elon Musk surprisingly appeared on Saturday during the German election campaign AfD (Alternative Fuer Deutschland) in Halle, East Germany, and for the second time in so many weeks he publicly spoke to the far right party.

Musk in the hall for 4,500 people, together with the chairwoman of Alice Weidel live vividly through the video link, spoke of the preservation of German culture and the protection of the German people.

“It is good to be proud of German culture, German values ​​and not to lose it in some multiculturalism that is crushing everything,” Musk said.

Last week, an American billionaire of upheaval caused a gesture that compared to the Nazi greeting on the Internet during the inaugural festivities of US President Donald Trump.

He said on Saturday that “children should not be guilty of their parents' sins, let alone grandparents,” which apparently refers to the German Nazi past.

“We focus too much on the last blame and we have to move on,” he said.

Musk, who spoke of the suppression of the speech under the German government, had previously attacked German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on the X.

Scholz said on Tuesday that he does not support freedom of the word when it is used for extreme right -wing opinions.

Musk spoke for the voting for the far right side: “I am very excited about the AfD, I think you are really the best hope for Germany () Fight for the great future of Germany,” he told the audience.

Weidel thanked him, saying that Republicans are making America great again, and urged her supporters to make Germany big again.

At the beginning of this month, Musk hosted Weidel in an interview for X, which raised concerns about interference to the elections.

Despite the winter weather, there were active anti -Four Right -wing fighters on Saturday, around 100,000 people gathered around the Berlin Brandenburg gate and up to 20,000 in Cologne, including people of all ages with colorful umbrellas.
