Finney acknowledged that some critics, such as fellow committee member Scott Jennings, criticized the administration as “rightfully so” for not disclosing Biden's mental condition. However, she quickly dismissed it in lieu of Biden's foreign policy.

“Look, I think he's going to leave office in disgrace,” Jennings said. “Hunter Biden's pardon was disgraceful. It will be remembered largely for inflation and the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. And I think…we've just got the first draft of this now.”
He continued: “But as we continue to learn about the massive cover-up that occurred, not about his health, but about his mental acuity to cover it up, the efforts that the White House staff, his family, have made, not in the last two months, but over the course of all four years, I think… “It's going to be a really ugly chapter because of that.”
