Fox Sports has previously streamed its Super Bowl broadcasts on its Fox Sports app, but for this year's Big Game it is bringing coverage to its free, ad-supported streaming service, Tubi. The the broadcaster announced on Wednesday that the NFL's biggest game will be available on the streamer, with pregame coverage starting at 3:30 pm ET on Feb. 9 with the Tubi Red Carpet at Super Bowl LIX.
The NFL rotates announcers to the Super Bowl every year, with CBS airing it last year. Fox had the NFL title game in 2023 and has it again this year, while NBC and Peacock will have it in 2026 and ESPN and ABC will air it in 2027.
The confirmation that Fox will make this year's game available in 4K is welcome, but not unexpected, as it previously aired the Super Bowl in 4K in both 2020 and 2023. For 2023 it made the option available on compatible cable, satellite and streaming providers, including DirecTV, Dish, Verizon, Optimum, Comcast, Fubo and YouTube TV, as well as those streaming the Super Bowl through its Fox Sports app.
In addition to airing on Fox and streaming on Tubi, this year's Super Bowl will also be available on Fox Deportes, Telemundo and “across the NFL's digital properties” without requiring users to prove they're paying for cable, satellite or a live TV streaming service. Advertisements are expected to be the same across services, according to Various.
