Grand Theft Auto V hits 210m unit, Red Dead 70m Shortly before GTA VI debut

Take-two interactive Now revealed more about sales numbers behind its most popular titles, Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2. According to the latest financial report, two games are now selling 210 million and 70 million units respectively. This means that Grand Theft Auto V has sold five million units since the last quarter and Red Dead 2 has sold three million units.

GTA V sales are largely parses —ea in the last few quarters – the title sells five million units on top of Previous quarter as well. The RDR2 has actually increased in its sales, which sells only two million units in the previous quarter.

Take-Two also noted the performance of Grand Theft Auto online in the quarter with its holiday update, growing 10%. Red Dead Redemption 2 is “currently enjoying the highest level of synchronous steam players” and Red Dead Online also has its own holiday bonuses at the launch of Halloween Pass.

It's been more than a year since the official announcement of Grand Theft Auto VI, which is still set for a fall 2025 launch date — its releases for the upcoming year. Despite lead time, it does not appear that the announcement of a sequel has caused a drop-off in sales for GTA V.
