How to add someone to a chat group chat

We hear the signal is In the news. As long app fans, and safe messaging Wider, we feel that this is our role in Engadget to make sure you know how to use the software properly.

Signal will be available to Android and IOSAs well as almost every desktop operating system, including windows and macos. You can download the app by clicking one of the links provided above, or typing in "Signal Messenger" to your device's app store. Once you have installed the app, continue to set up an account with your phone number or an alias.

Note: If you want to install a signal on a phone or computer place, be sure to get approved from your employer; Some organizations, such as the US government, are actively discouraged or unacceptable to use app.

What a wonderful, you downloaded the signal! Now, to create a chat with the group, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the compose icon at the top of the interface.

  2. Choose a new group.

  3. Add participants by selecting their name from your contact list, or inputing their username or phone number.

  4. Give your team a name (and a profile picture if you wish).

  5. If the contents are especially sensitive, you may want to enable the missing messages and choose a time of expiry.

I also suggest using the signal permission feature to limit who can invite people to your chat.

  1. Open your chat group and tap the group name to view chat settings.

  2. Scroll down and select permissions.

  3. Under "Add members," Just tap the admins.

One of the ways that a person can join your chat group is by a Group Link or QR Code. For additional security, you can set it so that the admins must approve the invites to the group link before being invited.

  1. Open your chat group and tap the group name to view chat settings.

  2. Scroll down and select the group link.

  3. Toggle moved to On.

Maybe you know who you can trust yourself, but it may not be the person in the hall!

If you tend to get a mixture in the names with ease, the signal allows you to assign nicknames to users. After all, no one wants a case of wrong identity.

  1. Open your chat group and tap the group name to view chat settings.

  2. Under "Members" Select the name of the individual you want to assign a nickname to.

  3. Type in a name. You can also add a note, say that describes the human profession, in case you need an additional context.

The nicknames are only visible to you, so don't be embarrassed to use them.

See, even the best of us can go wrong. Fortunately, the signal makes it easy to remove someone in a conversation thread.

  1. Open your chat group and tap the group name to view chat settings.

  2. Under "Members" Select the name of the individual you want to remove.

  3. Tap the remove from the group.

So somehow you've got all the steps above, added someone you shouldn't have and sent information that a classmate's relatives have never seen. Lets be honest, you are a side case. But there is still hope if you caught your mistakes in advance.

  1. Tap and hold the message on the mobile (oi -hover the message bubble on the desktop),

  2. Select Delete.

  3. Select Delete for all.

Now there is less chance that, for example, a record of your civil and perhaps even criminal Mishaps are distributed with a well -known reporter in a form that is potentially open to legal discovery.

Ultimately, no matter how certain of the messaging platform, if all you need to talk about is very, very sensitive, probably just best "All together in a room."
