Xbox hosts it Developer Direct showcase today, and you can watch live on YouTube, Twitch or in our handy embed below.
The stream will begin at 1PM ET / 10AM PT and should feature updates from the developers of South of Midnight, Chiaroscuro: Expedition 33 and Doom: The Dark Ages. Xbox also promises to “visit a surprise location to see another studio's new game.” Windows Central reports the mysterious unspoken game is “a new entry in a legendary Japanese IP with decades of history,” which is certainly intriguing. At least, the remaining games featured are slated to launch in 2025.
Xbox spent most of 2024 adjusting its game release strategy, delaying some titles this year, and bringing some previously exclusive games on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. The company seems to favor timed exclusives over stockpiling everything for Xbox and PC, so its Developer Direct is working a little differently this time around. Aside from allowing developers to sell their games, the real test of the show is whether it can get you excited about games coming to Xbox, rather than just Xbox itself.
