On the past Four years at the United Nations, The international community has witnessed a disturbing trend of cooperation between Russia and China, a major threat to the “bases -based system” that the United States helped design in 1945.
This increased and renewed level of cooperation represents an unprecedented dilemma for the United States and similar partners in thinking: how to maintain the current system and warts, all of which, when two of the United Nations Security Council members now work to sabotage it.
For many observers of the United Nations, China Russia has now reached a joint conclusion that the United Nations has become Washington tool and its allies used regularly to destabilize their regimes and reduce their global influence. Consequently, the United Nations has become a decisive battlefield in the current era of “superpower”.
During my years, whose excess is increasing as the American ambassador responsible for the issues of the United Nations Security Council, I saw directly at the United Nations how these authoritarian powers are repeatedly publishing the vitality of the prosecution:

- The bureaucracy of the United Nations is owned by the “West”;
- That the United States and Europe continue to exploit the countries of the global south in the “colonial” style;
- The United States uses unilateral sanctions to impose its will on the rest of the world;
- And that the international financial system led by Western continues to subjugate the world world.
By publishing these wrong stories, Russia and China hope for persuasion Development of countries that do not represent the United Nations and its associated mechanisms, their views and values, and that a basic reform of the multilateral system is needed.
It is not as if there were no warning signs. Since the unjustified war of aggression in Russia against Ukraine in early 2022-and its strong international condemnation-Moscow has been determined to get rid of the current system, even to the point of claiming that there is nothing like the rules-based system.
It blames the United Nations General Assembly’s decisions on Ukraine, and challenging repeated calls from the United Nations member states to withdraw their forces from the country. Almost daily, he uses a fiery letter and the formulation of Saber Nuclear in the United Nations Security Council to threaten the countries that it intimidates and expressing its opposition to its war on Ukraine, its illegal military cooperation with North Korea, its luxurious interference in the democratic elections, and its support for the delicacy of horrific obligations against its people.
Although this type of threatened Russian behavior is not a new thing, when it is seen in the context of a “endless partnership” with China, a prosperous authoritarian power, the world needs a serious notice.
Since 2016, Beijing has been in an uncompromising campaign to reshape the United Nations in its authoritarian form. It has worked enthusiastically to include the official United Nations language that enhances its local ideological and political priorities, such as the Belt, Road and World Security Initiative.
It has given priority to financing the situation of young Chinese citizens in the United Nations Young Professional Officers Program, which is trained and develops civil service employees in the future. Through this program, the primary goal of Beijing is not just developing a cadre of Chinese citizens who have experience in the United Nations, but for a multilateral system with the appearance focusing only on strengthening the interests of the Chinese Communist Party.

Russia and China are working together at the United Nations to undermine the American influence with the global south. China's long play, such as Russia, also seeks to reduce the importance of human rights, individual freedoms and the role of civil society in the great United Nations, and calms down international standards and rules that the United States and the vast majority of the United Nations member states want to preserve. Instead of withdrawing from United Nations institutions such as UNESCO and HES, the new administration should double its participation in these bodies to prevent China from controlling critical areas such as artificial intelligence and future epidemics.
In the meetings of the Public Security Council and closed, I had many verbal clashes with Russian and Chinese diplomats to compete firmly for their propaganda and their wrongful accounts that, if repeated, often enough, begin to echo with countries that are completely unfamiliar to history and facts related to a specific issue.
To attract the global south, Russia and China usually indicate the increasing economic inequality, and the war in Gaza, which is claimed to be unfair restrictions on reaching the leading technologies, and what they claim is the instability of democracies as evidence of the failure in the system based on the rules and that the authoritarian model is the wave of the future.
Although most countries of the global south do not share these opinions, it will be wrong to say that there is no increasing support for this line of thinking. The Biden Administration has tried to reform the United Nations Security Council, and a “agreement for the future” of the United Nations Secretary -General, as a plan for United Nations diseases, to address some of the demands of the change expressed by developing countries.
However, if Russian and Chinese propaganda is prevalent in the global southern discourse on the United Nations, demands for a basic reform of the rules -based system will definitely grow higher than that and can weaken United Nations support so much as we know it.
Friends of the United States also warn that the current political divisions in Washington and between Washington and its allies give Russia and China the upper hand in this conflict. To effectively meet this moment in this sophisticated and competitive strategic scene, the Trump administration needs to abandon its positions and instead it is spreading a force in the unique America to renew and strengthen alliances at the United Nations.
Chinese and Russon diplomats in particular recognize that one relative feature of the United States over its countries is our valuable historical alliances. However, on the importance of alliances, it cannot be a street in one direction.
The United States has the right to expect that the partners will not undermine its important security interests. Countries should not expect to vote constantly against US policy priorities without relying on them. It is important that each side understand the expectations of the other.
Since 2016, Beijing has been in an uncompromising campaign to reshape the United Nations in its authoritarian form.
The United States also needs to actively involve the United Nations Press Corps. This was something religiously pledged at the United Nations headquarters, while ensuring that the US point of view was taken into consideration in media reports. This should be a priority. If we do not constantly pay the United States' novel, our opponents will fill the void and determine this narration in ways that harm the global and our interests.
