Jamie Foxx Brings Daughter to 'Back In Action' Premiere


Jamie Foxx On January 15, he participated in the premiere of his new movie “Back in Action” in Berlin, Germany, together with his 16-year-old daughter Aneliza Bishop.

Foxx, whose real name is Eric Bishop, credited Anelisa for helping save his life in 2023 when he was in a coma after a stroke.

Back in Action with Jamie Foxx premiered on Netflix on January 17.

The duo walked the red carpet at the Zoo Palast Theatre, where Anelise wore a plaid gray and black suit and her father in a black suit with a black and white collar.

He starred in “Back in Action”. Cameron Diazand the two actors play former spies who are forced out of retirement when their cover is blown in the film.

Anelise Played Guitar for Foxx in the Hospital

In it Netflix special, “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…”, Foxx said he helped save Anelise's life by playing guitar at her bedside. As Foxx was unconscious after a stroke, the then 14-year-old is credited with regulating his vital signs.

“My vitals are so bad, they're going to pass me out,” Foxx said in a Netflix special. “Then a miracle happened, and that miracle was working on my little girl.”

“She's 14 – I wouldn't want her to see me like that,” she said. “But he walked into my hospital room with my guitar. 'I know what my dad needs.'

“When he played, my life… went away… it was God on that guitar,” he said. “Spiritual defibrillator.”

Foxx Brought Both Daughters to Golden Globe Awards

Foxx brought his 30-year-old daughter Corinne Fox along with Anellese to the 82nd Annual Golden Globe Awards. The trio attended an event in Los Angeles on January 5.

The “Ray” actor also mentioned Corinne in the Netflix special as he kept details of his condition under wraps as he made the update public. Foxx suffered a brain hemorrhage on April 11, 2023, which resulted in a stroke. He was in a coma for 20 days and had to learn to walk again. The comedian shared the details of his illness in a special program called “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened was…”.

“They held me down,” he said. “Nobody sees him. They cut them all off. They didn't want you to see me like that, and I didn't want to either. I wanted you to see me like that.”

Foxx shared a photo of her daughters attending the Golden Globes with her Instagram it's January. 6.

“I'm walking the world at the @goldenglobes with my two beautiful daughters … a proud father daughter moment Anelise Estelle and @corinnefoxx so beautiful and fearless,” she wrote. “When you asked me on the carpet what do you think about the awards? I said I've earned it to be here with my two daughters. Standing tall. Standing with so much love. It's not my award. It's my award. My God. It's good and I think you know the rest 🙏🏾🙏🏾 🙏🏾.”

'Back In Action' is available on Netflix

“Back in Action” is now available on Netflix and stars Foxx and Diaz as a former spy couple. After the duo start a family, they are “drawn back into the world of espionage when the cover is blown.”

In the trailer, Diaz's character Emily and Foxx's character Matt fight off criminals at a gas station. Emily then tells her husband, “Well, you know I love our life,” which prompts Matty to say, “So?” prompts him to answer.

“Something clicked tonight,” Emily said. “For the first time in a really long time, I felt alive again. I still felt that bad.”

Foxx Gets Credit For Bringing Diaz Out Of Retirement

Foxx is credited with bringing Diaz out of retirement with Back in Action. The two previously starred together in 1999's Any Given Sunday and 2014's Annie.

As previously reportedExplosionDiaz said in a recent interview that Foxx was “the only person” who could get her back into acting. Diaz has two children with her husband, musician Benji Madden.

“I thought if I ever wanted to go back and make a movie, this guy would be the only person I would go back and do it with,” he said. “Seriously. I had other opportunities along the way and I always said, 'No. I'm not doing it, I told you… What? Jamie asked? Jamie? Oh, I can make a movie with Jamie!''
