Joe Biden said a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas would “stop the fighting in Gaza” and boost “much-needed” humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.
In a speech on Wednesday, the outgoing US president also said that the agreement would mean that Israeli hostages held in the Strip would “soon” return to their families.
