Kelly Osbourne Shares Health Update While Battling Severe Fever

Kelly Osbourne She talks about her health struggles, sharing an update with fans as she battles an ongoing fever of 100.2 degrees. Daughter of TV personality and rock legend Ozzy Osbourne took to social media to provide information about his current situation.

The update comes as Kelly Osbourne continues to balance her busy schedule, including being a mother to her son Sidney, who she shares with Slipknot's Sid Wilson.

The former reality star took to her Instagram stories on Saturday to say she was feeling sick as she battled a 100.2 degree fever. “It's still going strong. I've put ice on my body, I've taken medicine, I've tried sweating in the bathroom and nothing works!” he also shared a photo of his thermometer.

“Having a fever and a bit of a cough for the third day,” Osbourne wrote in a follow-up video on her Instagram Stories. He then expressed his frustration at his slow recovery:

“Babies bounce back very quickly, but I guess not at all. I don't want to be sick anymore.”

After the Emmy Award winner took her son to the doctor, they were both diagnosed with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), which explained the lingering symptoms they had been experiencing.

RSV is a common virus that infects the lungs and respiratory tract. In fact, most children contract the virus by age 2. However, RSV is not limited to children – it can also infect adults Mayo Clinic. For healthy adults and older children, RSV usually presents with mild symptoms similar to those of the common cold, and simple self-care measures are usually enough to manage any discomfort.

However, RSV can cause severe infections in some susceptible groups, including infants younger than 12 months (especially those born prematurely), older adults, people with heart or lung disease, and those with weakened immune systems (immunocompromise).

Osbourne also revealed that Sidney was battling RSV as well as a double ear infection.

“He's such a trooper and he's doing so well,” the reality TV alum said, praising her son's resilience despite the difficult circumstances.

Kelly has previously spoken about her health battle with her son. In 2023, she revealed that not only was she battling the flu, but that Sydney, who was 8 months old at the time, was also dealing with the same illness.

Before welcoming her son, the TV personality shared with her People magazine she said she felt “terrified but absolutely excited” about embarking on her motherhood journey. “I don't want to be a perfect mom, but I want to be the best mom I can be, so I think about absolutely everything,” she said.

Kelly Osbourne welcomed Sydney in 2022 her boyfriend, Sid Wilsonwidely known as the turntablist of Slipknot. Although the pair have been friends for more than 20 years, their relationship officially became romantic in early 2022 and soon turned into a deep and loving partnership.
