Metro Creator 4a Games Rebrands as Revurn and released new title La Quimera

4A Ukraine Games Put Ukraine on Game Dev Map with a series of meters. Now it has named itself as Reburn and opens a new intellectual owner called The chimera.

While the meter took place in a post-apocalyptic world where mankind moved to the underground meter under a nuclear bomb Moscow, La Quimera was a brighter game set in Latin America, Dmytro Lymar, founder and CEO of Reburn, said in a gamebeat interview.

The sci-fi shooter game, La Quimera, is available for wishlisting today and debuting it on PC via Steam. This is a Kapana -excited game with a relatively intense trailer, and it comes from that -Ccclaim Metro 2033 (2010), Metro: Last Light (2013) and Metro Exodo (2019). (Wake up to the meter (2024 VR title) is made separately by vertigo games by embracer).

On the move from the established IP, the Kyiv, Ukraine -based revurn produces a rare. Most game companies are addicted to sequences. But Reburn is taking a risk to the brand new IP.

La Quimera took place in a stunning Latin American Megalopolis and a luminous jungle setting, where the player was advancing the customizable exosuit of a down-on-fortunate PMC soldier against rival factions.

The world and narrative of La Quimera were written and created by Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, The Neon Demon) and Eja Warren. Combining Latin American folklore with highly advanced weapons and technology, La Quimera will be played on single-player or with up to two co-op friends-for a total of three players.

Fans of the team's previous work will enjoy the familiar tense gunplay and intimate storytelling combined with new game experiences through unique and highly detailed environments, characters and weapons. (No multiplayer version).

La Quimera is a sci-fi shooter set in Latin America.

“After working in the metro, we decided to make a step in a brighter setting, but we still maintained the game -focused game. That's good for all the experiences from Metro games,” Lymar said. “The game is set to Latin America in the future, with more modern technology. It gives us a little to experiment, and the monsters are replaced with robots, which is also kind of a interesting twist. “

In the game, players play the role of the operatives of one of the private military companies, who have seen better times. That's where the story begins. You are one of the main operatives in the story.

La Quimera is lighter than the darkness of the meter, but it's not really fun.

“Reburn boasts to introduce La Quimera, which gets our success in making games driven by the shooter for the Metro series,” Lymar said. “We look forward to sharing a mysterious new world with the players and hope they will fight to join the fight.”

Dmytro Lymar is CEO of Reburn.

Reburn's roster of more than 110 previous developers' tasks included gameplay design, art, sound engineering, programming, and more from the entire Metro series as well as original stalker Oleksandr Kostiuk serves as the leading project in La Quimera. Lymar has worked in games since 2006, and previously served as director and CEO of 4A Games Ukraine.

More information on the La Quimera game and supporting visuals will be shared in the coming months from Revurn. Check the official Reburn website at, Wishlist on Steam, and follow Reburn on Facebook, Discord, YouTube, Bluesky, and LinkedIn for regular updates on the development and games.

The game doesn't really have magic realism, but there's some mysticism in it. And it refers to the ancient Latin American cultures, such as the Mayan cultures and some cults of death.

“We also have serious topics that can be returned to the modern world, such as trying to change the truth and fake news, and political changes that are happening in the world,” he said. “We don't cover the war in the game itself, but it has some relatable topics.”

Dividing into two

La Quimera's art looks like a triple-a game.

The 4A games were established at Kyiv in Ukraine in 2006, and Metro 2033 started developing. The company built its own 4A game engine.

In 2007, 4A Ukraine worked through the Cyprus office to sign a deal with the THQ to fund the development and publishing of Metro 2033. IP rights went to THQ as part of the deal, but the IP's rights to the game's engine remained at 4A Ukraine.

The title came out in 2010, and it was a hit as a Triple-A game. Then the THQ signed up for developing a meter last light.

But in 2012, the THQ was bankrupt and the rights to the Metro Last Light was obtained at an auction of Koch Media, which operates under the deep silver trademark.

In 2014, Russia attacked Ukraine for the first time. Part of the team left and established their own studio in Malta.

“The situation is not great, and some people want to leave the country. We arranged and helped them a little, and they set up a studio in Malta,” Lymar said.

That studio became 4A Malta, and they joined together to form a third game, Metro Exodo. Both studios have worked closely here. The title of Metro Exodo released in 2019, and both studios grew enough to want to work in their own games independently.

To welded from Quimera.

In 2020, 4A Malta was obtained by the embracer group, which also owned the Metro IP. But the 4A Ukraine has received additional funds to unite to fund its own development of a new project based on its own IP, La Quimera. And now it is rebranded again as Reburn. The 4A trademark remained at 4A Malta, but both companies could use 4A engines. Reburn is working far, but it has to deal with both 2022 Russian invasion and covid-19 as well.

“It was disturbing, but it brought people more. We felt this support of each other bigger at this point in time. There were so many challenges we had. Lyman shared a built with the morning investors when the war began in February 2022. But the team managed to work.

The name Reburn inspires the word “born again,” and it is like a re -insertion of something, Lymar said. As for the survivors of the war business, Lymar said, “I will say we have no other choice, which makes each other's support only good from the team and we support the army. We get a lot of support from all over the world, which we are grateful. We hope it will work.”
