On Tuesday, MLB announced the official spring training start dates for all 30 clubs, including the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The D-backs' pitchers and catchers will report first and arrive for their first practice on February 12, 2025. Full squad training will begin shortly thereafter on February 17th.
For the 15th consecutive year, Arizona's spring training practices and Cactus League games will be held at Salt River Field in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Typically, the aforementioned workouts are free and open to the public. As of this writing, no such announcement has been made, but Diamondbacks ON SI will continue to provide updates on this topic.
After preliminary training, Cactus League play between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs will officially begin on February 20th. The D-backs are scheduled to play their first “home” spring game the next day at Salt River Field against the Colorado Rockies.
Arizona will play 34 Cactus League matchups from Feb. 21 to March 23 before concluding with two games against the Cleveland Guardians at Chase Field on March 25-26, similar to the 2024 spring exhibition.
Other notable matchups include games against the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres. The D-backs play nine division games, facing each NL West rival at least once.
