Nina Dobrev celebrates her first Christmas with Shaun White in 'Engaged'

Nina Dobrev and her fiancé, Shaun Whitespent their first Christmas together as an engaged couple, and the actress gave fans a glimpse of their fun holiday moments.

On her Instagram page, Dobrev shared photos and videos of their time at the mountain resort.

Shaun White proposed to Nina Dobrev at a famous restaurant, tricking the actress into thinking she was going to dinner with fashion icon Anna Wintour for Vogue magazine.

Dobrev and White are certainly on top of the world, as the pair are all smiles in photos and videos shared by The Vampire Diaries star to celebrate their first Christmas as an engaged couple.

The actress shared the photos and videos with her nearly 30 million followers on Instagram and wrote “First Christmas as a fiance”.

In the first shot from the photo dump, White can be seen smiling at the camera in her hand as she takes a selfie with Dobrev, who smiles back at her.

The couple were spotted on vacation with family members at a snowy mountain resort, as another photo saw Dobrev cuddled up to two smiling children.

White and Dobrev were also photographed posing in front of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and playing with a dog in the snow in a light video.

In the comments section of the actress' post, Dobrev and White received season's greetings from fans who were happy to see the newly engaged couple's vacation photos.

One person said: “Nina, you don't know how happy I am for you! You finally found your happiness.”

Another said: “They were made for each other”, while a third said: “Aging backwards! Best couple ever.”

However, some fans were more interested in Dobrev's engagement ring, which is the focus of attention in the photos from the photo dump.

“Girl, how do you climb that rock and not have a panic attack? [?]asked one fan.

Another commented, “All I see is the rock and it sends me away every time.”

The couple's holiday outing comes nearly two months after White proposed to Dobrev at the Golden Swan restaurant.

in an interview with VogueDobrev announced that the engagement was a surprise. He came to the restaurant expecting to have an intimate CFDA/Vogue dinner with Anna Wintour.

But when he entered the place where the dinner was to be held, he saw White standing under an arch of roses.

“I was shocked. I just froze and looked at him,” Dobrev said, adding that she repeatedly said “No” because she couldn't believe White was going to pop the question.

White and Dobrev began dating in 2019 after meeting at an event in Florida. The next year, they moved in together and made their relationship official on Instagram.

Before the snowboarder's proposal, he tried to pop the question twice, but unforeseen circumstances prevented each.

The first was during a visit to Cape Town, South Africa the previous November. But when friends asked when they would get engaged, White thought it best to postpone the proposal.

White also wanted to propose to Dobrev during summer vacation this year, but she scrapped that plan after the actress unexpectedly broke her knee while cycling.

He said in 2021: “We have a nice little system to keep in touch.” “For every opportunity we can go to see each other, plane tickets are almost booked.”

The skateboarder continued, “So I know we'll see each other over the holiday break and probably again around Christmas time. Whatever happens in between, I'll fly over and see. her. You just get the job done.”

White added: “I think that's what it's all about and the key to it all is just taking your time. [Nina’s] super organized and on top of that so i give it to her. He always finds a way to make it happen.”
