An unusual gift during the pandemic has turned into a gold opportunity for Sumanbai Gaikwad, a farmer from the village of Bhosi into Bhokar Taluka in Telangana. With only ten rates of the most expensive mango in the world, her modest farm has now become talking about the region – and perhaps the future fruit empire.
Sumanbai arrived at district agriculture and grain 2025 on March 17th with a woven Mango Miyazaki basket, who pointed out immediate attention. These exotic mangoes, known for their rich taste and pulsating red shade, can load up to 10,000 GBP per piece.
Her journey began with her son Nandkishore Gaikwad, aspirant UPSC, whose studies were disturbed by Covid-19. He forced himself to return home from Pune and came across a variety Miyazaki while he was walking online.
The curious and determined, Nandkishore imported ten seedlings from the Philippines and paid 6,500 GBP for the race. According to an ETV Bharat report, planted two years ago, 11 to 12 fruits now did not carry 11 to 12 fruits this season.
Finding the right market
To appreciate the crop precisely, Nandkishhore consulted Warpudkar, the renowned cultivator Miyazaki of Parbhani, who advised 10,000 ₹ for mango. Buzz at the fair has evoked the interest of local farmers who are now watching this premium fruit enterprise.
The AGRI fair, which took place in Nanded – affected by the collector's office, Zilla Parisad and the agricultural department – used 29 progressive farmers using modern and sustainable techniques. “Agriculture offers immense opportunities for those who are willing to innovate,” said Rahul Kardile collector.
The fair represented 82 stalls, showing everything from organic products to herbal accessories.
Why Miyazaki Mango matters
Manga Miyazaki excel in their beta-carotene, folic acid, vitamin C and vitamin and content-containing nutrient-rich profile, immune increase and skin profile. Despite their sweetness, they maintain a balanced sugar level, making them an immediate energy source.
For Sumanbai, what has begun as an experiment by a son, now a prosperous enterprise – unoffenial, that seeds of innovation can actually bear fruit.
