'Paid ₹525 for it': Customer regrets buying 'bhutta' at Virat Kohli's restaurant, leaves nets divided

Celebrity restaurants are quite the rage among food lovers and social media users not only because of the popularity of their owners but also because of the staggering prices.

A social media user recently called out Virat Kohli-owned One8 Commune for selling substandard food at extremely high prices. The user shared a picture of a corn starter with dip in very less quantity and wrote on X, “Paid Rs 525 for this today at One8 Commune (sic).”

The social media post divided netizens, with some questioning the user as to why she ordered the food. However, others agreed with the user and said that the starter really looked subpar for the price.

The user wrote, “Order kyun kiya! Menu mein likha hota hai naa”. “You're officially rich,” said another user. “You knew before you ordered so stop crying,” commented a third user.

“You paid for the 'community' that One8 created 🙂 ~ people hanging around, music, atmosphere… coming from high rent, higher than average employee pay, etc etc etc,” the user explained.

“Looks like a 6th stump salad,” said the user. “Fancy bhutta (sic),” another user mentioned.

“Bhai ngl doesn't look very appealing either,” commented another user. “I just didn't like this place. First, they have some problem with chappals (Birkenstocks). Second, every meal we had was amazing. The price did not justify the product,” wrote another user.

However, Sneha was not the only user who shared her grouse with One8 Commune. Another user named Sumukh Rao criticized the restaurant for not allowing him to enter because he was wearing sandals.

He further said that the restaurant did not have a physical menu, while adding flavor to most of the food they ordered was on par with what is available in most pubs.

“The food is on par with most pubs. The hummus was good. The jackfruit tacos were literally tortillas with jackfruit chips on top lol. Terrible. The mushroom dimsum was nice and the pizza was good too. But I've had much better food than that at lower prices too they don't even have vegan options.”
