I've been training up to about 2 hours a day lately, mostly riding but also strength training and I have PT for my back and hips. My body seems to tolerate it well and it feels good.
This past Tuesday I had some memorable trips with my group back and forth to the end of the Redwood hermitage. Here on Strava. Then on Sunday I did a hard workout consisting of upper body strength training and PT, then a quick trip down Coyote Creek road to Bernal road and onto the Monterey highway on the way back. I also shot some tough intervals. It felt great at the time, but I was pretty tired afterward, so I relaxed a bit more yesterday.
I'm visiting my brother in Phoenix in a few weeks and want to rent a bike to ride the canal trails while I'm there. This will be steep. Since I normally ride horizontally and haven't done much vertical mileage lately, my ass isn't as firm as it should be, so I'll be putting in more mileage vertically like I did in preparation. on trips last Tuesday, Friday and yesterday.
