Russia and Ukraine have exchanged hundreds of prisoners of war, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
Russia said it had exchanged 150 captured Ukrainian soldiers for an equal number of Russian troops in a deal brokered by the United Arab Emirates.
The released Russian soldiers are staying in Russia's ally Belarus and have been provided medical support and opportunities to contact their families, the Russian Defense Ministry said. Ukraine has not yet commented.
Before the recent exchange, there had been only 10 prisoner exchanges between countries. this year.
