The government is completing the outlines of the Social Security system for concert workers, which is likely to be taken to the Union's cabinet for approval. This step, if it went, would provide a security network for the growing workforce of India, many of which have taken such jobs due to lack of job opportunities.

According to sources, the Ministry of Labor organizes discussions with the associations of concert workers, online aggregators and state governments and is completing the outlines of the system that would be based on 1% to 2% of the contribution based on a daily employee earnings at a concert from each platform he works with.

As announced in the Union budget, each concert worker will be registered on the portal of the Ministry of Labor and a 12 -digit universal account number (UAN) will be assigned. On this basis, a concert worker would be identified and the post would be deducted from each platform they work on. Within this system, the worker would receive a provisional fund and pension doses.

The amount of contribution still needs to be completed, but it can be between 1% and 2%.

In the event that the worker decides to switch to normal work, the social security account within the system would be merged with his account within the organization of the Provisional Fund of Employees.

The Niti Aayog estimates that India has about 7.7 million concerts in 2020-21, but their number has now increased to more than 10 million. This system is expected to help concert workers who have to rely on their daily earnings without a security network. While several aggregators provide random insurance to workers, they do not have a social security system.

The Budget of the Union also announced the inclusion of concert workers in the government ambitious system of health insurance Pradhan mantri Jan Aogya Yojana (PMJay).

The Social Security Code, 2020, which must only be implemented, ensures framing suitable measures for staff for concerts and staff of platforms for life and disabilities, accident insurance, health and maternal benefits and protection of age. It also lays down the establishment of the Social Security Fund for the financing of the Social Security System. Sources indicated that the proposed benefits will be formulated in accordance with the code and no separate legislation will be required.
