SpaceX launches Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center, launches more Starlink satellites


SpaceX is preparing to launch a Falcon 9 rocket carrying Starlink Internet satellites from Cape Canaveral, Florida, on Monday.

The four-hour start window opens at 2:21 PM ET Kennedy Space Center.

The launch site in Brevard County, which is about an hour east of it orlando theme parks, it allows people to see from near and far if cloud cover, weather and visibility work together.

“SpaceX's Starlink is a constellation network satellites The goal is to provide internet service to those not yet connected and to provide reliable and affordable internet around the world,” the Kennedy Space Center says on its launch details website.

The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from the other side of the earth on Friday, delivering 23 Starlink satellites “into the constellation” after launching from California, SpaceX said on X.

The Falcon 9 is being called “the world's first reusable orbital rocket,” SpaceX says. He has 426 missions, 382 total landings and 355 total repeat flights, according to the airline's website.

Just 10 days ago, a SpaceX Starship rocket disintegrated in space minutes after liftoff from Texas, forcing airline flights over the Gulf of Mexico to reroute to avoid falling debris and slowing Elon Musk's flagship program.

SpaceX mission control lost contact with the newly upgraded starship, carrying its first test payload of fake satellites but without a crew, eight minutes after liftoff from its rocket facilities in South Texas at 5:38 p.m. ET.
