Startup AI Chip Groq ensures a $ 1.5 billion commitment from Saudi Arabia

Groq, founded by a former alphabet engineer, is known for creating AI inference chips that optimize speed and perform pre -educated models.

Startup has an existing agreement with Aramco Digital, a technology subsidiary of the oil Major Aramco, through which the company built a critical AI center in the region in December.

The commitment, which lasted specific details of the timeline or the location of the investment, was declared at the Saudi global technology event, Leap 2025. At this event, the country provided $ 14.9 billion in fresh AI investments.

In August, Groq was awarded $ 2.8 billion after winning $ 640 million in a financial round led by Cisco Investments, Samsung Catalyst Fund and Blackrock Private Equity Partners.
