CNN said on Saturday that Patel “clarified plans to move up to 1,000 ATF agents to the FBI” and “ATF agents with more than a third”, according to three sources whose name has not been revealed.
“The move represents a major discount in ATF, an agency that has long been at the intersection of weapons rights groups that believe that its work violates the rights of the second amendment,” CNN said. “ATF has about 2,600 agents and more than 5,000 employees, which is a large number of unchanged for years.”

“After publishing this story and the resulting benefit, including the Republican allies, Federal Bureau officials began getting rid of the aspects of their plan, according to an American official familiar with the issue,” the report stated.
Patel, who is also currently at ATF's Acting Director, issued a memorandum of ATF employees and rejected the CNN report.
“I want to address this weekend report expected about the intentions of the FBI leadership with ATF employee decisions.” Patel started the memorandum obtained by Fox News digital. “At the end of this week, CNN reported news about a plan by our leadership to” reducing up to a third of “ATF agents and re -allocating 1,000 agents to the FBI. The report suggested that the leadership team changed our path after reading a news report, and ultimately decreased certain aspects of changes. This” report “is completely incorrect.”
“Fake news will never be responsible for the ATF operational salad,” Patel announced. “ATF brave men and women who perceive themselves courageously to protect the American public will not be at risk through campaigns to mislead in the media. When we make decisions, it will be final, regardless of CNN inputs or any other news organization.”
CNN did not respond immediately to order Fox News Digital for comment.

Patel inspected his harsh position against the media in the observations he made after she swore to the position of director of the FBI last month.
“I see, I know the media here, and if you have a goal, then the goal here,” Patel said, referring to himself. “Men and women are not at the FBI.”
