An American judge decided to postpone the trial of the mayor of New York City Eric Adam
The decision comes a few days after the request of the Deputy Attorney General Emile Bouf from the Acting Public Prosecutors Disclose all corruption fees Against the mayor.
In the suggestion of the dismissal, Pov said that legal measures against Adams are detracting from the priorities of the Ministry of Justice, such as illegal immigration and violent crime.

“The suspended claim may restrict the ability of mayor Adams to devote the interest and full resources of illegal immigration and violent crime that escalated under the policies of the previous administration,” Bouv said in the deposit.
The charges against Adams will remain intact until the judge who heads the judge, the American boycott judge, Del, will be rejected.
Ho has appointed lawyer Paul Clement against the removal and assistance proposal in the courtroom in making decisions. He issued instructions to submit legal summaries on March 7, if necessary, he said that there would be a hearing on March 14.
Adams is not required to appear in future listening sessions.
In a somewhat unusual step, he refused on Wednesday to judge the bench based on the proposal of the Ministry of Justice to reject, pointing to the need to think about the facts surrounding the case and what he described as “an unusual situation.”
“This is a very complicated situation, at least from where I was sitting,” said after the 90 -minute listening session.
“I will not shoot the thigh here on the bench,” he said at the end of the session.

Failure to drop the charges against Adams is very unusual, and no American appeal court has ever divided into a federal judge who refused to grant a proposal that is not opposed to rejection.
Adams was charged in September on charges of five charges of corruption and federal bribery, related to the alleged contact of the illegal campaign contributions and the alleged reception to form luxurious travel benefits on behalf of the citizens of Turkish foreigners, according to the Ministry of Justice.
Adams acknowledged that he was not guilty of all charges in the past fall, and he strongly denied any violations.

“I want to be clear with the residents of New York: I have never done – and no one on my behalf – any trade of my authority as a mayor to end my case, said.”
Even without a court action, the allegations themselves can threaten the offer of Adams's re -election for 2025. Adams face calls to resign as a municipality head, and New York Governor Cathy Hochol reached this week that she weighs the possibility of using its position to remove Adams as a mayor.
