“We respect President Trump,” Carney said. “President Trump has developed some very important issues at the top of his agenda. To understand his agenda is to understand the importance of treating the Ventanil lesion, and he is a challenge here in Canada as well as the United States.

Carney, former CEO of Goldman Sachs, worked for 13 years in London, Tokyo, New York and Toronto, before his appointment was appointed by Deputy Governor of Canada in 2003. Carney was running Canada Bank from 2008 to 2013 and Bank of England from 2013 to 2020.
