The White House said that Trump and Putin, who spoke on the phone on Tuesday morning about how to put an end to the war in Ukraine, agreed that Iran should not reach weapons that allow Khan to obscure Israel.

“The leaders spoke widely about the Middle East as a region of potential cooperation to prevent future conflicts,” the White House said in a statement after the call. “They also discussed the need to stop the spread of strategic weapons and will participate with others to ensure the widest possible application. Meanwhile, Russia urges the United States to reduce its sanctions on Iran, which paralyzed Tehran's economy. Russian representatives met their Chinese and Iranian counterparts in Beijing on Friday, and they pressed the United States to withdraw “illegal” sanctions and resume nuclear discussions, according to a statement issued by the three countries.

“The three countries have repeated that participation and political and diplomatic dialogue based on the principle of mutual respect is still the only applicable and practical option in this regard.”

Russia has maintained a comfortable relationship with Iran and used Iranian drones in the war against Ukraine. For example, Russia has begun to employ Shahid -131 drones from Shahid -136 in 2022 to strike Ukrainian artillery targets and areas of the electricity distribution network in Ukraine, according to Washington's non -profit organization of the Near East policy.

The Defense Intelligence Agency also issued a report in 2023 showing in detail how Iran granted Russia the arrival of Russia to “hundreds” of offensive aircraft in one direction. Although Iran denied that drones arose from Tehran, the Defense Intelligence Agency said it had obtained wreckage of attacks in Ukraine “clearly proven Iran's support for Russia.”

Trump warned in February, he believed that Iran was “close” against developing a nuclear weapon, and his administration prepared a maximum pressure campaign against Iran through sanctions targeting Iranian oil exports in February.

In addition, Trump revealed on March 7 that a nuclear agreement with Iran could appear in the near future and that he sent a letter to the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khounai, and urged Tehran to agree to a nuclear agreement.

He said that failure to do so may mean military intervention.

“I prefer negotiating a deal,” Trump told Fox in an interview on March 9.

“But the time is now, it's time,” he said. “Something will happen in one way or another. I hope that Iran will be, and I have written a letter saying that I hope it will negotiate, because if we have to go militarily, this will be terrible for them.”
