“Why can't you repair Bengaluru?”: Mohandas Pai Slams Karnataka Dy cm for big projects but “deteriorating” city administration

Former CFO Mohandas Pai of Infosys took the representative of the Chief Minister of Karnataka DK Shivakumar to the task and questioned the government's solution to Bengaluru's infrastructure and public transport.

In the X (formerly Twitter) post, PAI criticized Shivakumar for announcing a large project announcement without dealing with the deteriorating city conditions.

“Minister @dkshivakumar, it's been 2 years since you became our minister!” We applauded and welcomed you as a strong minister. But our lives have deteriorated! Big projects announced! It will take a very long and delayed because Govt has not finished any project in the city in time! “Pai wrote.

He urged Shivakumar to prefer immediate improvements and asked, “Why can't you urgently provide clean walking, with good corridors? Why can't you urge 5,000 new EV buses to improve public transport? ”

PAI also killed a delay in the metro project and questioned why the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) did not work on the lessons to complete the waiting work. “PL focuses on it and improves our lives.” He gets worse daily, ”he said, adding that a recent trip to Metro fare, which allegedly led to a drop of one lake, was another example of poor management.

His notes came in response to the post of Shivakumara, who shared details about the Namma Raste campaign inauguration, focused on promoting the streets of friendly pedestrians, cycling lanes and green spaces in Bengalur.

While the CM representative described the initiative as a step towards the “building of the brand Bengalur”, the frustration of Pai emphasized the growing dissatisfaction between citizens over the crumbling infrastructure and the management of public affairs.
