Women's Basketball Travels to Louisville Sunday – Women's Basketball — Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

The Georgia Tech women's basketball team will look to get back to its winning ways this weekend when it travels to Louisville for its second ACC road trip. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a heartbreaking loss in double overtime to Virginia Tech, their first loss of the season. Kara Dunn led the way for the Jackets in the tilt, dropping a season-high 33 points and 10 down.^Day Consecutive games scoring in double figures. Classmate Tonie Morgan also had a productive night against the Hokies, scoring a career-high 28 points and surpassing 1,000 career points.

Louisville entered Sunday's matchup on a five-game winning streak dating back to Dec. 21. Most recently, the Cardinals began a two-game road swing with a 65-56 win at Wake Forest and an overtime win at Miami. The Cardinals are 4-2 this season with home losses to Oklahoma and NC State. Tajianna Roberts leads the Cardinals trio in double figures with 12.8 points per game, while Olivia Cochran adds a team-high 6.4 rebounds and 10.2 points per game.

Georgia Tech is also looking for its first win in program history against Louisville. The Yellow Jackets and Cardinals have met 11 times since their first meeting in 2015, all in ACC matchups.

Georgia Tech Women's Basketball Celebrates 50 Years
Georgia Tech celebrates its 50th anniversary^Day It's a celebration of women's basketball this season at The Flats. Under coach Jim Culpepper, Georgia Tech spent its first year in the Georgia Intercollegiate Athletics Association for Women (GAIAW) in 1974-75 and joined the ACC in 1979-80. Tech has had many highlights over five decades, including 11 NCAA Tournament appearances, two Sweet 16 appearances (2012, 2021) and producing nine WNBA draft picks, including first-round draft picks Alex Montgomery and Sasha Goodlett. In its first postseason appearance in school history, Georgia Tech won the 1992 Women's National Invitational Tournament. The Yellow Jackets, now in their sixth season under coach Nell Fortner, have advanced to the postseason three times in the past five years.

Full Steam Ahead is a $500 million fundraising initiative to further Georgia Tech Athletics' goal of competing for the highest level of championships in the next generation of intercollegiate athletics.
