If you've tried using Xbox Cloud Streaming and experienced issues loading games or unexpected disconnections, you're not alone. Microsoft's game streaming services have been experiencing issues since Thursday and are still not fully back online 24 hours later.
Users on r/xcloud, the subreddit dedicated to Xbox Cloud Gaming, have reported unusually long wait times to load a game, stretching a process that should be instantaneous within 50 minutes or longer waits. At Microsoft's status pagethe company says “you may have trouble starting cloud games or unexpectedly disconnect from a game after it starts.”

Microsoft recognized that Xbox Cloud Gaming was having issues on Thursday, and follow-up today saying that “users may experience inconvenient wait times when trying to launch a cloud gaming title,” but the company expects everyone to be able to connect faster than that. It's unclear if this means the issue has been fixed, is in the process of being resolved or what the problem was in the first place, but Engadget has reached out to the company for information and will update if we learn more.
