Zelinski says the metal deal is “ready to sign”

President Zelinski told the BBC that the metal deal between the United States and Ukraine is still “ready” to sign despite the general confrontation between it and the Trump administration on Friday.

He was asked about the future of the deal, which would give the United States access to rare mineral reserves in Ukraine, by Laura Quinzburg.

“It is our policy to continue what happened in the past, we are constructive,” he continues, “If we agree to sign the metal deal, we are ready to sign it.”

He concluded by saying: “The agreement on the table will be signed if the parties are ready.”
